			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Our thoughts, when vocalized, start the action which causes a condition and the condition is the effect of the thought.  For instance, suppose you are exposed to someone with a bad cold and the thought goes through your mind, &#8220;I&#8221;ll probably come down with a cold now&#8221;.  You vocalize the thought to whoever you are with and, sure enough, a few days later, you come down with the bad cold you told yourself you were going to get.  You self-prophesied yourself to come down with a cold.</p>
<p>The object of this lesson is to be aware of your thoughts and where they lead you.  Our thoughts are powerful!  If your life is not going in the direction you want it to, start paying attention to your thoughts and start weeding out the negative, destructive ones, and replace them with positive, constructive ones.  This takes diligence and if you are serous about making changes, start keeping a journal of your thoughts and this will help you to see what kind of thoughts you are having and where they are leading you.</p>
<p>Anyone can change whatever needs to be changed in order to live a healthier and happier life.  Strengthen the inner person by cleaning up the self-talk.  you are what you say you are so start saying really good things about yourself.  They may not be true at the time but, with repetition, eventually they will. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>From the very beginning, the risks of this toxic artificial sweetner were presenting themselves loud and clear.  Unfortunately, policy makers chose to ignore them.</p>
<p>Studies have shown that aspartic acid, one of the main ingredients in aspartame, causes brain damage to the brains of infant mice.  The studies have also shown that consuming a lot of aspartame may inhibit the ability of enzymes in your brain to function normally, and may lead to neurodegeneration.</p>
<p>How, then, did this clearly harmful chemical make it to market?  Fraud, plain and simple.  The evidence that showed aspartame was harmful was ignored or falsified and it was rushed through the FDA&#8217;s approval process by a select few who stood to benefit handsomely from its profits.</p>
<p>When aspartic acid is consumed, it significantly raises your blood level of aspartate, which leads to a high level of those neurotransmitters in certain areas of your brain, where they slowly begin to destroy neurons.  Neurons connect with each other and form neural pathways which create new thoughts and images in your brain and determine our intelligence and our ability to learn. </p>
<p>You most likely would not notice the symptoms until 75% or more of your neurons are already gone.  Then chronic illnesses such as the following, which may be caused by long term exposure to excitatory amino acid damage, may occur:</p>
<ul>
<li>Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson&#8217;s and Alzhemier&#8217;s Disease</li>
<li>Memory and Hearing Loss</li>
<li>Hormonal Problems</li>
<li>Epilepsy</li>
<li>AIDS</li>
<li>Brain Lesions</li>
<li>Neuroendocrine Disorders</li>
</ul>
<p>And there&#8217;s more.  Aspartame is 50% phenylalanine.  Excessive levels of phenylalanine in your brain can cause the levels of serotonin in your brain to decrease, leading to emotional disorders such as depression.  It can also cause schizophrenia or make you more susceptible to seizures.</p>
<p>As for the other 10%, well that&#8217;s methanol, also known as wood alcohol.  Not only is methanol on its own a poison, but it breaks down into formic acid and formaldehyde &#8211; a deadly neurotoxin in your body.  Methanol poisoning can lead to a variety of symptoms such as:</p>
<ul>
<li>Vision Problems</li>
<li>Headaches, Ear Buzzing, Dizziness</li>
<li>Nausea and Gastrointestinal Disturbances</li>
<li>Weakness, Numbness and Shooting Pains in Your Extremeties</li>
<li>Behavioral Disturbances</li>
<li>Memory Lapses</li>
</ul>
<p>Aside from the damage it can do to your brain, aspartame can cause cancer.  One well-controlled, peer-reviewed seven-year study even found that as little as 20 mg per day can cause cancer in humans.</p>
<p>One 12-ounce of diet soda contains about 180 mg. of aspartame, so do the math on that risk.</p>
<p>There are many sources of aspartame as well.  Sold commercially under names like: NutraSweet, Equal, Spoonful, Equal-Measure and Canderel.  It is found in:</p>
<ul>
<li>Diet sodas, juice drinks and flavored waters</li>
<li>Chewing gum</li>
<li>Table-top sweetners</li>
<li>Breakfast cereals, such as Fiber One</li>
<li>Fiber supplements such as orange-flavored Metamucil</li>
<li>Jams</li>
<li>Sweets</li>
<li>Certain vitamins (including childrens) as well as prescription and over the counter drugs such as Alka Seltzer plus, and some Tylenol medications.</li>
</ul>
<p>This article was taken from the book &#8220;Sweet Deception&#8221;.  It is a most comprehensive book on the market addressing this issue.  You can also watch the movie which is part documentary, part detective story that sheds much-needed light on the controversy surrounding aspartame.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We all want to be slimmer, healthier and happier regardless of how much we weigh &#8211; it goes with the territory of being a female type person.  It doesn&#8217;t seem to affect men as much as it does women so my message is to women who will no doubt pass this information on to the men in their lives.</p>
<p>First and foremost &#8211; take the word &#8216;diets&#8217; out of your vocabulary.  They do not work for you &#8211; they may seem to at first but in the long run &#8211; they work against you.  They put your body in a fight or flight mode which causes stress, which causes your body to start producing lots of cortisol.  Cortisol is a great thing when it&#8217;s doing what it was designed to do.  It reduces inflammation from wounds when you&#8217;re injured and it also helps you wake up in the morning when you have something important to do.</p>
<p>But when your adrenal glands, which secrete cortisol, are running day and night from continous stress without any breaks, the cortisol levels in your blood can become dangerous.  It is also one of the main causes of &#8216;belly fat&#8217; which has lots of receptors for cortisol (where cortisol is absorbed).  If you&#8217;re producing cortisol all day long &#8211; then you&#8217;re going to need a lot of &#8216;belly fat&#8217; to re-absorb all of that cortisol.</p>
<p>If you have a problem with your weight, you are already under undue stress and diets will only exacerbate the stress.</p>
<p>Diet foods are loaded with chemicals that will be absorbed into the fat cells in your body simply because they are alien and the body, with it&#8217;s infinite intelligence, does not know what to do with them.  Artificial sugar is also a <strong><em>big</em></strong> <strong><em>no no</em></strong>!  This is the worst of the worst as far as all the damage they do to your system.  Sugar is addictive so it is best to avoid it altogether if you are struggling with your weight.  MSG in all its variety of code names is also to be avoided &#8211; it stimulates your appetite and makes you hungry for more food.  Sodium benzoate, a preservative, is one of the top chemicals to avoid.  It is given to cattle before they go to market to fatten them up &#8211; does the same for your body. </p>
<p>So read the labels and become informed as to what you are putting in your body.  Would you put an inferior oil into your expensive car &#8211; of course not.  Your best bet is to stay away from all processed food and only buy whole foods like fresh vegetables and fruit, whole grains, nuts and seeds and organic whenever possible.  Be very discriminating in choosing meat, poultry, fish and dairy products.  You may have to pay more but the price you pay for diet programs, ill health, etc. is far more.</p>
<p>The bottom line, is eat only foods you really enjoy and are nutrient dense.  Your body will crave what it is lacking in nutrients and will cause you to consume more calories than you can burn in a day.  Stay away from junk food as much as possible.  There are times when that is all that is available and rather than put yourself under stress, eat it and enjoy knowing it&#8217;s a temporary situation.  Be happier, healthier, slimmer and live a longer life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Change Your Thoughts &#8211; Change Your Life </strong>is the name of my new book, based on my workshop, which I have just completed. It is in the process of being published and will take quite a while to complete. In order to get this book in the hands of those who would benefit from it, I am offering it as an eBook which you can order through my website, by email or phone.  I also have printed copies for those who do not have access to a printer.</p>
<p>It is an intensive eight week guide to a<strong><em> healthier, happier and slimmer you!</em></strong>   I wrote it with the overweight woman in mind but, after going over it a number of times,  I realized that it would benefit anyone who has a strong desire to change the direction their life is going in.   This book will help you see how your mind can affect every aspect of your life.  I go into quite a bit of detail about how the subconscious mind, which is programmed to think a certain way from childhood on,  is in total control of the conscious mind. </p>
<p>There are eight lessons spread out over eight weeks.  Each one is done in a coaching fashion with affirmations to work on as homework.  I offer three ways to do this work &#8211; you can do the work on your own, hire me as your coach or become part of a coaching group.  The choice is yours. </p>

<p><em><strong>Your belief is not the truth &#8211; it&#8217;s your perception of it.  Your inner, largely unconscious thinking, is dictating and controlling your life &#8211; good or bad.  What a thought &#8211; it&#8217;s like you are in a play and someone backstage is prompting your lines.  As odd as that may seem, it&#8217;s exactly what is happening.</strong></em></p>
<p><strong><em>Do yo have a weight problem?  What is your belief about food?  Are you having a problem with relationships?  What is your belief about yourself?  Are you having a problem with your career?  What is your belief about your ability to perform or your confidence level?  Whatever it is &#8211; it&#8217;s not the truth.  It&#8217;s your perception of it.  Most of your beliefs are formed in the early childhood years and they will impact you well into adulthood.  Beliefs do not fade with time.  They are compounded by the very experience they themselves generate in a detrimental &#8216;catch 22&#8242;.</em></strong></p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Good questions &#8211; where do I start?  OK &#8211; start by sitting and taking a good long look at your life &#8211; look at it as though you were looking at a video. Allow your whole life to play out in your mind and you will start to see a pattern and if you are honest with yourself, you will see how you set yourself up for each new chapter you went through in your life.</p>
<p>Your thought life determines what happens next &#8211; scary thought.  If you keep thinking your life stinks, it will continue to stink.  But, if you think your life can be better and you start visualizing how you want your life to be &#8211; what are the chances your life will be the way you are visualizing it?  The Law of Attraction says that what we focus our attention on is what we will get &#8211; it&#8217;s one of the Laws of the Universe.  So, focus on a better life and you will get it &#8211; sounds like a plan but unless you have all your ducks in a row, it probably won&#8217;t work out quite the way you probably imagine it to. You still have to conquer all the negative thinking stored in your subconscious mind and that takes time and effort.</p>
<p>Here is the part where I do my sales pitch about how hiring a coach would be a smart move.  I am a coach and I know I need to be coached in order to get the right perspective on my problematic areas. This can be a costly endeavor but the results of a changed and better life are well worth any price.  Coaching takes the guess-work out of &#8220;what do I need to do to feel better about myself and my life?&#8221;   Having someone to talk to and sort out what needs to be changed and how to go about it is so valuable. I have seen remarkable changes in the women I have coached and it&#8217;s simply helping them see their circumstances from a different perspective, and getting to the core of which area of their life needs to be different. </p>
<p>The sky&#8217;s the limit when you have your mind set on your goals with God and the Universe backing you up. Regardless of how things may look,  it&#8217;s temporary and only meant to make you aware that you are not alone and doing it alone is like spinning your wheels. It happens to all of us and we must all be aware that it&#8217;s part of the growth process.</p>
<p> Life can be beautiful and it can be everything you want it to be &#8211; step out of your comfort zone and see what happens.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Intentions, like a compass, aligns us with our desired experience and draws us to the essence we seek.  If you desire an abundance of time, creativity and joy &#8211; this is a good affirmation to use daily.  &#8220;Today I am experiencing an abundance of time, creativity and joy as my goals and intentions easily and gracefully flow into place in perfect divine timing&#8221;.    You must be clear and specific in your intention and follow through as often throughout the day as you can.  Write your intention down on an index card and carry it with you.  Repetition is the key.  Follow your thoughts and if a negative one pops up, replace it with a positive one.  Nothing happens by chance &#8211; it takes perseverance and diligence to accomplish your desires but the effort is well worth the results.  The subconscious needs to be reprogrammed and the only way to do it is with affirmations that replace the negative thoughts to be repeated often during the day.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Your beliefs  are not the truth &#8211; they are your perception of it.  Your inner, largely unconscious thinking, is dictating and controlling your life &#8211; good or bad.  Do you have a weight problem?  What is your belief about food?  Whatever it is, it is not the truth.  It is what you have been taught since you were a child and will have an impact on your life well into adulthood and beyond.  Beliefs do not fade with time.  They are compounded by the very experiences they themselves generate in a detrimental catch 22.</p>
<p>You have a belief about everything in your world.  If you are experiencing limitations, struggle or hardship anywhere whether in your personal life, business, relationships, weight, money, career, health, etc., you&#8217;ll find an un-serving belief that needs to be cleared.</p>
<p>Are you living the life you were designed for?  How much time do you spend on self-improvement?  How is your self-esteem, self-confidence and feelings of self-worth?  These are all questions worth exploring.</p>
