Thoughts – Words – Action
Our thoughts, when vocalized, start the action which causes a condition and the condition is the effect of the thought. For instance, suppose you are exposed to someone with a bad cold and the thought goes through your mind, “I”ll probably come down with a cold now”. You vocalize the thought to whoever you are with and, sure enough, a few days later, you come down with the bad cold you told yourself you were going to get. You self-prophesied yourself to come down with a cold.
The object of this lesson is to be aware of your thoughts and where they lead you. Our thoughts are powerful! If your life is not going in the direction you want it to, start paying attention to your thoughts and start weeding out the negative, destructive ones, and replace them with positive, constructive ones. This takes diligence and if you are serous about making changes, start keeping a journal of your thoughts and this will help you to see what kind of thoughts you are having and where they are leading you.
Anyone can change whatever needs to be changed in order to live a healthier and happier life. Strengthen the inner person by cleaning up the self-talk. you are what you say you are so start saying really good things about yourself. They may not be true at the time but, with repetition, eventually they will.
Warmly,
Julie Sabbatis
